Book on CD
The Library has a growing collection of Books on CD. They are shelved in the audio section with fiction arranged alphabetically by author’s last name and non-fiction filed according to the Dewey Decimal Classification system.
Children’s Books on CD
Fiction titles are arranged alphabetically by the author’s last name. Non-fiction is filed numerically according to the Dewey Decimal Classification system. Both are filed on the shelves in the Children’s department.
Teen Books on CD
The library purchases unabridged versions of books read on CD. Fiction titles are arranged alphabetically by the author’s last name. Non-fiction is filed numerically according to the Dewey Decimal Classification system. Both are filed on the shelves in the Children’s department.
Books on Cassette (BOC)
Fiction BOC (Books on Cassette) are filed alphabetically by the author’s last name. The non-fiction BOC are filed in numerical order according to the Dewey Decimal Classification system. All BOC are shelved in the audio section.
BOC are marked with coloted labels to offer more information about the item:
- Green Labels: 2 parts
- Orange Labels: 3 or more parts

Kits are a collection of children’s books and cassettes or CDs which are packaged together in a plastic bag. The picture books and Easy Reader titles are filed alphabetically by the author’s last name. Non-fiction is filed numerically according to the Dewey Decimal Classification system. Both are filed on the shelves in the Children’s department. All three are located on the carousels in the Children’s department.
Special Collection
This is a collection of uniquely packaged audio materials which cannot be processed in the usual manner. They are arranged according to the Dewey Decimal Classification system and housed on the shelves in the audio section. They have bright Orange labels to further distinguish their multiple parts.
