SUMMARY:AARP Senior Citizen Tax Counseling
DESCRIPTION:This is an AARP sponsored program\, and AARP is asking that you make an appointment in advance. Starting Monday\, January 9\, any district resident 50 years or older may either call the library at 567-5079 or come to the library to make a one-hour appointment.  Please bring last year's tax returns to your appointment. The appointments will be made on a first-come\, first-served basis until they are filled. Important information regarding this program:  The library offers this program as a courtesy to our patrons.  The library has no control over the volunteers who work for AARP. The library cannot guarantee that the volunteers will be ready at your scheduled time.The library cannot be responsible for the information provided to you by the AARP tax counselors.  The tax counselors help you fill out your tax forms but they do not sign nor are they responsible for the information on your tax forms.AARP now files your forms electronically.  The library is not responsible for the security of the information on your tax return or the delivery of your tax information to the IRS.
