Book Discussion: The Widower's Tale by Julia Glass

Open to district residents only.  Limit of 15 people.

Widowed college librarian Percy Darling planned to enjoy his seventies in the idyllic setting of his historic village home in Massachusetts. Instead, his newly-divorced daughter has convinced him to convert his barn into a preschool so that she may work there.  This disruption leads to more unsettling developments-including a romance for Percy  with one of the preschool moms-and Percy soon finds everyone from an illegal gardener to his pre-med grandson in need of crisis intervention.  The Widower's Tale is a wise and humorous beach read that lends itself to lively discussion.  Sign-up begins Monday, June 11 at the adult reference desk.  You will receive a copy of the book and discussion questions at that time.
