Children's Summer Reading Clubs 2009
BRIGHT BABIES
Begins on Monday, June 22.
Last day to register for the club is Monday, July 27.
Reading records will be accepted starting
Monday, July 6 through Wednesday, August 5.
Children from birth to their 35th month.
Be creative and expressive with your little one this summer! Read 20 books together from our suggested list, sharing topics that include dancing, singing, colors, shapes or any books you’d like, and your “bright baby” will receive prizes, a certificate and an invitation to a celebration on either Monday, August 10 or Tuesday, August 11.

CREATIVE KIDS
Begins on Monday, June 22.
Last day to register for the club is Monday, July 27.
Reading records will be accepted starting
Monday, July 6 through Wednesday, August 5.
Children entering 1st through 5th grade in September.
Get “creative” this summer as you join in the fun and explore the amazing world of drawing, painting, art, music and so much more! For every four books you read, a prize awaits you including an invitation to a celebration on Wednesday, August 12. When you have reached your 12th book you will receive your final prize. Choose any book that stimulates your imagination and let’s find that “artist” in you!

PINT-SIZE PICASSOS
Begins on Monday,

Children 3 years old
through entering Kindergarten in September.
Bring your little artist to the library and be “drawn” into the world of books! Read 25 books together and your child will be rewarded with a book, a prize, a certificate and an invitation to a celebration on either Monday, August 10 or Tuesday, August 11.

EXPRESS YOURSELF
Begins on Monday, June 22.
Last day to register for the club is Monday, July 27.
Reading records will be accepted starting
Monday, July 6 through Wednesday,
August 5.
Students entering 6th through 12th grade in September.
Show us your “expressive” side! Join the teen summer reading club and express yourself by reading 2, 4, up to 6 books of different genres to earn prizes. You choose the books and when club requirements are completed you’ll be entered in the Grand Prize Raffle and will also be eligible to attend our Teen Celebration on Thursday, August 13.

Reminders
- Reading Records will not be accepted on the day of the celebrations.
- The reading club celebrations are intended as rewards for the children who have completed the club requirements. Please do not ask that a child be admitted who has not completed the club.
- Please note that the celebrations for the Bright Babies and the Pint-Sized Picassos clubs will be combined.
- The invitation to the Bright Babies and the Pint-Sized Picassos celebrations will admit the registered child and adult caregiver(s) only. No siblings, older or younger, may attend unless they too are registered in the club
and have fulfilled its requirements. - The invitation for the Creative Kids and the Express Yourself clubs will admit only the registered child who has completed club requirements. These children are expected to attend without an adult caregiver. Older and younger siblings, relatives or friends may not attend unless they too are registered and have fulfilled the requirements.
