School Age Programs
Kindergarten - 5rd Grade
Note: Children attend these programs without parents.
Your library will be accepting applications for workshops on a walk-in basis. Please view our newsletter for information on when the forms will be available. Pick up the forms you will need, fill them out, and return them to the children’s librarians.
The 3 registration forms are: Preschool: (Infants through not yet in Kindergarten); Grade School (Kindergarten - 3rd grade); Teens (4th grade and up). Please pick up one form per child at the children’s reference desk.
All forms will be computer processed. All processed forms will be mailed indicating those programs your child is registered for and those for which he/she is on the waiting list.
Guide To Filling Out Your Applications:
- Check the age requirements for each program carefully.
- Each child must have his or her own library card in good standing.
- Choose programs in order of preference by placing number “1” in the box in front of the program most desired. Continue to number “2, 3, 4” for all other program choices.
- When there is more than one time slot available for the same program, indicate preference
by choosing “A” or “B.” - Please check individual preschool programs in this newsletter to find out if siblings
will be admitted.
Reminders:
- Parents of children in preschool through 3rd grade in a library program must remain in the library to respond to their children’s needs.
- Only registered patrons may attend the following multi-session Preschool programs: Storytime, Baby’s Great Beginnings, Baby Play and Grow, Parent/Child Workshop, Toddler Time and Second Step. If your name is on a “wait list” for one of these programs you will be called to attend only if a registered child completely drops out of the program prior to the 2nd session.
- If your child is registered in a program and cannot attend, please notify the library as soon as possible so that another child can be called in time to fill the vacated space.
- Please call the library if your child will be late for a program. The reserved space in a workshop will be held for 5 minutes after the program begins. After that the place will be given to any standbys who are waiting. This is done to make the best use of your tax dollars.
