Brooklyn's Green-Wood Cemetery: It Has it All

Family History Roundtable Series

Founded in 1838, this cemetery is where many famous and common New Yorkers who died during the second half of the 19th century are buried. Jeff Richman, Green-Wood Cemetery historian, will speak on what makes this cemetery so special: pioneering landscape design, 19th century tombs, world-class sculpture, and notable permanent residents, such as Leonard Bernstein, Boss Tweed, Horace Greeley, etc. He will also discuss new efforts being made to open up more of the cemetery's records to family history researchers
