German-born Hans Gabali was a Northport resident who painted murals on the sides of buildings and in homes. His work transformed blank spaces into oceans, fishing shanties, deserts, swimming pools and Alpine villages. Retired librarian and associate professor Martha Kreisel established an electronic archive to preserve his murals, which can be affected by weather and changes in ownership. She will share her slide show of the murals and talk about where Gabali's work fits in to the mural community as a whole.
