Open to district residents only.
Registration begins Thursday, February 28 at 9:00 a.m.
Although anyone can register for the student, the student's Connetquot Library card must be presented at the time of registration. Your library will offer a course presented by Scholastic Test Preparation that is designed as a low-cost program. It will introduce students to the SAT test format, familiarize students with different types of questions, provide numerous tips and strategies, and supply practice test simulations.
The course will include 10 hours of SAT instruction (five hours in math, five hours in verbal) and related follow-up exercises. Each student will receive a copy of the STP Materials Coursebook, which was designed specifically to prepare students for the new SAT format. The instructors are experienced, certified public school teachers with a proven track record of engaging and motivating students. Students are asked to bring a notebook, pen or pencil, and a scientific or graphing calculator to class. A check (made payable to Connetquot Public Library) or cash will be required at the registration. The library assumes no responsibility for participants' subsequent scores on the SAT exam.
