Tunes from Colonial America

Sampawams Creek presents the music that early Americans sang and danced to from 1610 to 1814.  Tim Fitall and Dan Skabeikus sing and perform on violin, guitar, mandolin, tin whistles, fife and drum.  A song from the colonial period would include "One Misty Moisty Morning," a courting song. "Stony Point" from the revolutionary period celebrates the American victory at Stony Point, N.Y.  Lastly, from the early republic period, you will hear "The Rose Tree" and "The Grey Eagle."  This program portrays the early American oral and instrumental traditions and will entertain and inform an audience of all ages.
